General terms and conditions
This online store is operated by AG Culturele Instellingen Antwerpen Erfgoed/stad Antwerpen (Grote Markt 1, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium, booking@antwerpen.be), for the purpose of offering and selling tickets, guided tours, workshops, and/or related services that provide access to museums, heritage institutions, and other locations in the City of Antwerp.
Team Booking processes these bookings, purchases, and requests on behalf of AG Cultural Institutions Antwerp Heritage/City of Antwerp.
By purchasing tickets, guided tours, workshops, and/or other related services, you agree to the City of Antwerp’s terms and conditions. The person making the purchase is considered the sole purchaser (hereinafter “customer”). Only this person is obligated to make payment.
These terms and conditions of sale apply to purchases and orders you make as a customer in our online store, as well as to purchases and orders made by employees of Team Booking of the City of Antwerp following contact by phone or email.
Tickets, guided tours, and workshops:
- Unless otherwise indicated, the prices listed include VAT and any applicable taxes. These are always the responsibility of the customer.
- All fixed costs and services to be paid by the customer are included in the sales price. The customer will be informed of these before proceeding with the purchase.
- Each purchase becomes final only after AG CIA has received the amount due. Guided tours and tickets must be paid for by debit or credit card at the time of ordering.
- If the customer wishes to defer payment via a purchase order, this is possible only after consultation with the City of Antwerp’s Booking Team.
- Tickets and booking confirmations for guided tours and/or events are sent digitally upon receipt of payment. The customer will also receive a proof of purchase.
- An additional invoice will be provided upon request. This will be sent by AG CIA via the Peppol network. The customer must submit this request through the City of Antwerp’s Booking Team at booking@antwerpen.be.
- The customer is responsible for providing the correct contact information.
- The customer must strictly adhere to the date and start time indicated on the ticket.
- Access to our venues is granted only upon presentation of a valid, unvalidated ticket.
- Tickets may not be resold to third parties for commercial purposes. The customer must comply with the “law regarding the sale of admission tickets to events.”
Cancellation and rescheduling
- There is no right of withdrawal, and the customer does not have the right to cancel the purchase, in accordance with Article VI.53, 12° of the Economic Law Code.
- Purchases and reservations for guided tours, workshops, art classes, activities, and admission tickets are neither refundable nor rescheduleable.
- Only if the visit or event cannot take place due to organizational or technical reasons on the part of the organizer will the purchased products be refunded or rescheduled to another date.
Intellectual property rights
The products offered by the City of Antwerp and the texts contained therein, the database containing the provided data, the page layout, and the photographs and illustrations on the online store are subject to the intellectual property rights of the City of Antwerp and remain its exclusive property at all times. Any distribution, reproduction, sale, or other exploitation of these works, regardless of the method or form, whether for profit or not, is strictly prohibited without express prior written consent.
Final Provisions
- The City of Antwerp reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions of sale and the content of its online store at any time and without prior notice. Unless otherwise specified, the amendments take effect as soon as they appear on the online store.
- The City of Antwerp is not liable for any technical malfunction or downtime of the online store.
- The relationship between the customer and the City of Antwerp is governed exclusively by Belgian law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Antwerp. The parties expressly accept electronic means (e-mail, fax, etc.) as evidence in their mutual dealings.
